A new event focused on recycling and reuse. Since the beginning of the year, the Entreprises & Environnement association has already organized several editions of the Kay Pwop tour and will hold another one on June 24 in Le Lamentin. This is an opportunity to sort, recycle, and get rid of bulky items that might otherwise end up polluting the environment…

How do Kay Pwop tours work?
The Entreprises&Environnement association regularly organizes Kay Pwop collection drives throughout many towns in Martinique. Over the course of a morning, numerous organizations involved in recycling and reuse come together to collect products, items, and anything else that would otherwise be thrown away. For example, the ACISE Environnement association will be there to collect textiles—«clothing, household linens, and shoes»—as well as games and toys.
The organizing association explains that the initiative is being carried out in partnership with the city of Le Lamentin and CACEM. It is in the interest of all parties involved to promote recycling in order to prevent illegal dumping and pollution of all kinds, for the future of Martinique and for the protection of the environment.
