Guided tour of the Anses d’Arlet underwater trail

A great idea for this summer vacation: discover Martinique’s exceptional marine biodiversity!

That's what the [name] is offering every Wednesday from July 17 to August 14, Martinique Nature Reserve.

And to start things off, you can take a guided tour of the underwater trail in the village of Anses D’Arlet, recently inaugurated in its well-sheltered cove, a few dozen meters from the town’s dock.

This is Martinique’s third underwater trail and the second one in Anses-d’Arlets. It was created by the Martinique Natural Park in the heart of a 2,600-square-meter site boasting exceptional biodiversity.

This trail, named “Lakay,” features four large buoys that mark the boundaries of the site. Each buoy displays photos and information about the marine life commonly found at the site. On land, there are also informational signs with QR codes.

As you make your way past the educational buoys in a few meters of water, discover the richness and beauty of underwater life while swimming on the surface with your mask, snorkel, and fins. This site is home to numerous species of fish, corals, shellfish, seagrass beds, and sea turtles—some 150 animal species in all. More than just a swim, this is an opportunity to appreciate Martinique’s fabulous natural heritage.
