A call for collective and alternative creation,<\/strong> with respect for all living things <\/strong>is launched by the Collective Lokal Life<\/a>, on January 10, starting at 4 p.m. in Cluny, <\/strong>to prepare for the upcoming Fort-de-France Carnival. It\u2019s worth noting that Lokal Life, a dynamic collective behind several community-building events, advocates for concrete and compassionate action toward a lifestyle that is more respectful of nature and people.<\/p>\n

The 3rd edition of ALTERNAVAL!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cALTERNAVAL is a gathering of the island\u2019s alternative community. Since 2018, collectives, organizations, and individuals have been coming together to create and share a carnival that reflects who they are\u2026 while respecting all living things!<\/p>\n

In 2018: The Marriage of Nature and Humans, a magnificent burlesque couple followed by a barren mountain overflowing with trash\u2026<\/p>\n

In 2019: Our mascot, WAFI the turtle\u2014surrounded and protected by the guardians of the Land and the Sea\u2014gave us quite a hard time in the back alleys of FDF\u2026<\/p>\n

In 2020\u2026? Everything is up to us to imagine, decide, create, build, and develop\u2026 as a group, while maintaining enough autonomy so as not to \u201coverload\u201d everyone\u2019s schedules.<\/p>\n

The goal: to experiment with collective creation, in a spirit of kindness and joy, against a backdrop of environmental causes\u2026 Have a great carnival!<\/p>\n

As always, the final result will depend on everyone\u2019s energy\u2026 so let\u2019s get started! See you this Friday, January 10, at 4 p.m. in Cluny for the first planning meeting! Come out in droves to suggest themes, scenarios, costumes, material contributions, energy, good vibes\u2026 and so on!<\/p>\n
