This Friday, June 1, in the council chamber of Ducos City Hall, the Martinique Nature Park (PNM) and the city of Ducos signed a TARGET AGREEMENT for the enhancement and protection of Ducos\u2019s natural heritage.<\/p>\n

Located in central-western Martinique, the town of Ducos is part of the Martinique Natural Park. It is home to numerous wetlands that harbor true natural treasures worth preserving: G\u00e9nipa Bay, Champigny Pays Noy\u00e9, the mangrove forest, the La Manzo Dam, and more.<\/p>\n

In recent years, this area\u2014which covers 37.7 km\u00b2\u2014has been gradually transforming and developing to accommodate a growing population\u201417,339 residents according to the latest census\u2014as well as businesses, a high school, sports facilities, and more\u2026<\/p>\n

Based on these findings, Louis BOUTRIN, president of the PNM, and Charles-Andr\u00e9 MENCE, mayor of the municipality, decided to work together to preserve the municipality\u2019s environmental potential and promote the responsible development of the city of Ducos and, by extension, of Martinique.<\/p>\n

This performance agreement sets out the framework for actions to be carried out jointly by the PNM and the municipality of Ducos over a two-year period (2018\u20132020), focusing on three main areas:<\/p>\n
