The LEADER approach is an integrated method within European rural development policy aimed at transforming rural areas into balanced centers of economic activity and community life and at strengthening ties among local stakeholders. LEADER, which stands for \u00abLiaisons Entre Actions de D\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019Economie Rurale\u00bb (Links Between Actions for the Development of the Rural Economy), is a funding source offered by the three EPCIs.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/header>\n

This approach is part of the PDRM<\/a> and is funded by the EAFRD<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Martinique, three GAL<\/a>, based on the 3 EPCI<\/a> (CACEM, Espace Sud, and Cap Nord) each lead a local development strategy in their respective areas.<\/p>\n

Each strategy is broken down into an action plan with a dedicated budget.<\/p>\n

As a quintessential peri-urban area, the stakeholders of CACEM have once again chosen to focus their strategy on bridging the gap between rural and urban areas, with the aim of promoting social, economic, and environmental balance throughout the region. Accordingly, with the aim of addressing the following needs identified in the region, the \u00abRURBACTIVITE\u00bb Local Action Group (LAG) will implement CACEM\u2019s LEADER strategy:<\/p>\n
