Would you like to experience a natural process? Learn more about the marine environment? And discover the best diving spots in Martinique? Asso-Mer has partnered with other marine organizations in Martinique to offer diving sessions where you can explore coral spawning grounds. It\u2019s the perfect season\u2014don\u2019t wait any longer!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Natural phenomenon<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Asso-Mer has partnered with dive centers in Martinique to offer diving sessions that allow participants to explore coral reefs.<\/p>\n

The coral spawning season is a special time of year that offers magical moments in close contact with nature. Specifically, right now, corals are releasing large quantities of gametes into the water to reproduce. This is a natural phenomenon that can be captured in photographs. Dives take place at night, and Asso-Mer provides a brief training session to help participants identify the different types of coral and better understand the spawning phenomenon.<\/p>\n

How can I join these dives?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The first dive is scheduled for August 2 with the Natiyabel Dive Center in Sainte-Anne. The other dates can be found on the Asso-Mer website.<\/p>\n

To participate in the dives, you must have at least a Level 1 diving certification. Asso-Mer asks participants to bring their own underwater flashlights. \u00abBring your camera\u2014we\u2019ll feature your photos in our publications after the dive!\u00bb adds Asso-Mer.<\/p>\n

The initiative is supported by the Water Authority, DEAL, the Prefecture, the Cr\u00e9dit Mutuel Alliance F\u00e9d\u00e9rale Foundation, and the Port of Martinique. Partners for this event include: Agrra (Atlantic and Gulf Rapid Reef Assessment), IFRECOR, the Natiyabel Dive Center, Surcouf Dive, and the O Fil de l\u2019Eau Dive Center.<\/p>\n

However, the organizers cannot guarantee that it will be possible to observe this curious phenomenon, as it all depends on nature.
