The seven wind turbines installed at the Beauséjour site in Grand’Rivière were successfully commissioned yesterday morning. With a total capacity of 14 MW, they will now account for 2.5% of Martinique’s total electricity generation.
Bright sunshine and… wind. Ideal conditions for the launch of the Grand-Rivière Éolien Stockage Services (GRESS) project. Yesterday morning, at exactly 11:48 a.m., the seven wind turbines installed at the Beauséjour site were put into commercial operation. With a total capacity of 14 MW, they were already able to generate 12 MW on Monday, thanks to the favorable conditions, says Jean-Christophe Kerdelhué, president of Grand-Rivière Éolien Stockage Services.
