A new conference and numerous discussions. That is the premise of this new conference and debate, which aims to examine the future of Martinique through the lens of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). Deliberately provocative, the discussion aims to take stock of the current situation and shape prospects for the survival of Martinique’s SSE.
The Strengths of the Social and Solidarity Economy
This Tuesday, February 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a conference and discussion will be held at the offices of Mawon Autonomous Region (TOM) on the issue of: Is a social and solidarity economy possible in Martinique? In a period marked by economic difficulties, environmental threats, and budget cuts, this is a legitimate question, and the speakers will attempt to answer it.
This event provides an opportunity to bring together the forces of the social and solidarity economy in Martinique under the auspices of the inter-company economic media outlet, Teyat Otonom Mawon, the Dynamique Foyalaise association, and the city of Fort-de-France.

Seated around the table will be: Francette Florimond, business journalist, and Raphaëlle Goma, director of France Active Martinique, the sociologist Hector Elisabeth and Michel Monlouis, president of the CRESS in Martinique.
A conference and panel discussion provides the perfect opportunity for members, employees, or members of the public to engage with the challenges facing the social and solidarity economy and to reaffirm the importance of sharing common values.
