Waste, Compost, and Reuse: An Awareness Workshop Organized by K’FET

K’FET Solidaire is hosting a composting workshop on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Route de Mangot Vulcin in Le Lamentin. This event will give anyone interested the chance to learn how composting works in a fun and relaxed setting.

This is the second time that K’FET Solidaire has organized a composting workshop, and through this workshop, it hopes to raise awareness about waste management issues. After all, the success of waste management depends on everyone’s commitment.

What’s on the agenda? Learning the basics of composting, maintaining a compost pile, managing green waste, and various techniques for reusing organic waste. Those who wish to do so can shop at the market before the workshop begins.

What are the rules for participation?

The organizers ask that you follow a few safety guidelines beforehand. «For your safety and comfort, we recommend wearing clothing that covers your skin, closed-toe shoes, a hat, a pair of gardening gloves, and a mask for those who wish to wear one,» they say.

Refreshments will be provided to participants following the composting workshop. The workshop is open to everyone and free of charge, but we ask that you register using this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdCszNsxoxX0r6ml9p4oGGUz83uWLnP7Ub5votHrInmjc7y-g/viewform
