The Association of Today’s Women couldn’t have chosen a better time to organize a yard sale, which drew a large crowd last Saturday at Place des Arawaks in Schoelcher.
More than fifty booths, run by artisans and private individuals, were set up to sell their creations or items they no longer used at home. Mrs. Victor, nicknamed Mrs. Claus, proudly displayed her liqueurs, punches in a variety of flavors, and roasted pistachios.
A charming family, sitting at a table filled with treasures, is participating in a yard sale for the third time. It’s going well, so they’ll definitely be back. The young girl explains that she and her brother decided to sell the toys they no longer use because there are children who need them.
We don't use our toys anymore, so instead of throwing them away, we give them away or sell them.
Their mother, Séverine, is taking advantage of the yard sale to declutter the house. She confirms what her daughter said. «It's It's true that kids have a lot of toys. We buy them toys to Noël and The first few days they play with it, and after that it stays in the house». For this reason, by mutual agreement, the family prefers to sell the items or give them to those in need. Séverine adds «With the money we've raised, we'll be able to take a wonderful trip.». Julien, the dad, is very enthusiastic and sums up the atmosphere at Place des Arawaks perfectly: «Nothing but happiness!»

I was looking for an original gift, and I found one.
What attracted him were the unique, low-priced handmade items. «C’It's really pretty and it's not too expensive. That's great!».
