A new call for proposals aimed at Martinican nonprofit organizations working to benefit the region. This proposal was issued by the DEAL in a new publication released in March 2026. With strict guidelines in place, this new initiative offers associations an opportunity to showcase their work, with a generous grant of €4,000 up for grabs.
Toward a Multidimensional Ecological Transition
Nonprofit organizations are the leading actors in the ecological transition in Martinique, and the DEAL is seeking to support these key stakeholders for the region through a new call for projects published on March 13, 2026. The goal is «to support local nonprofit initiatives promoting the ecological transition in the region,» based on three predefined priorities: sustainability, civic engagement, and local development.
Indeed, the ecological transition cannot be separated from civic engagement, local roots, and resource management. «The national government, the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique (CTM), and local stakeholders are already fully committed to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50 % by 2030 and to the preservation of natural resources,» adds the DEAL.
What kinds of projects are eligible? Which organizations can apply?
In its call for projects, the DEAL outlines the application process. Selected projects must address key topics related to the ecological transition, namely: «the circular economy and responsible consumption, waste reduction and recovery (collection, sorting, recycling, composting), sustainable mobility and energy efficiency, sustainable resource management (food, energy, waste reduction), as well as environmental awareness and education,» emphasizes the DEAL.
This call for proposals is intended exclusively and solely for organizations «working in the field of the environment or sustainable development, or whose project for which the grant application is submitted is fully aligned with these fields,‘ to »organizations that have been registered for more than one year and have their headquarters in Martinique,« and to organizations that are up to date with their administrative requirements and comply with the Republican Commitment Agreement.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 20, 2026. For more information on how to prepare your application: https://demarche.numerique.gouv.fr/commencer/appel-a-projets-deal-2026-partenariat-associatif-d
