Saturday, June 6: Come join us at the Sea and Coast Festival!

A local festival to raise awareness of issues affecting the ocean. That’s the goal of the organizers of the Sea and Coast Festival: to bring the general public closer to the shoreline in order to raise awareness of the challenges involved in protecting the marine environment. It’s a way to combine festivities with environmental awareness.

Sea and Coast Festival

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Sea and Coast Festival will be held at the Étang Z’Abricots community marina. «CACEM and the Étang Z’Abricots community marina invite you to join us for a festive, fun, and educational day celebrating our maritime and coastal heritage!» say the organizers. The festival grounds will be open starting at 10 a.m. on June 6. Admission is free.

How can we combine business with pleasure? «This event is part of an effort to highlight the region’s natural and maritime heritage, while offering an opportunity for everyone to come together and relax.»

What's the program?

This year’s event features a wide range of activities, including educational and awareness-raising events—it’s a chance to get closer to the sea and enjoy the exhibits put on for the occasion.

Specifically, the organizers are inviting visitors to explore the mangrove forest and take part in awareness-raising activities, including viewing the exhibits and the mural titled «Ofildelo.» There will be many prizes to win during this day dedicated to the sea. “Come with family or friends to celebrate the richness of our coastlines, our biodiversity, and our maritime culture in a friendly and festive atmosphere,” the organizers note in a social media post. The Sea and Coastline Festival is a great opportunity for the general public to reflect on the importance of protecting the sea as a resource essential to life in Martinique.
