Waste / Recycling

Pesticide Waste Collection in Martinique. April 21 and 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Many products that are harmful to the environment can be found throughout people’s homes: fertilizers, pesticides, and all kinds of agricultural inputs. To prevent environmental pollution and the spread of these products, the association Entreprises&Environnement is organizing six days of collection drives in Martinique. A small step for homeowners, a giant leap for the environment.

Collection of Pesticide Waste

The Entreprises&Environnement association is organizing a collection drive for phytopharmaceutical products. «As part of our efforts toward responsible waste management in the agricultural supply sector, we would like to inform you that a collection of unusable phytopharmaceutical products (PPNU) will be held soon,» the association announced.

The collection will take place on April 21 and 22, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the La Lézarde industrial park in Le Lamentin, at the «SOS déchets» site.

Given the potential danger of these products, the organizers have provided some important guidelines to follow:

  • Unidentifiable phytopharmaceutical products (e.g., those with illegible labels or that have been removed from their original packaging) will not be accepted.
  • Presentation of the Certiphyto (individual certificate for plant protection products) is required
  • If the volume of waste exceeds 1 m3, you must make an appointment: call 06 96 79 44 29 or email this address: ctepie@entreprisesenvironnement.com
  • Non-contributing products are billed at €6/kg

Packaging Collection

In addition to the products themselves, empty packaging can also cause environmental pollution, which is why the organizers are repeating the collection drive two weeks from now:

  • Thursday, April 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at a place called Charpentier in Sainte-Marie
  • Thursday, April 23, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at a place called Bois-Rouge in Ducos

Whether they are cans, boxes, bags, lids, or big bags of fertilizer, certain guidelines must be followed so that they can be collected. Empty packaging for plant protection products (EVPP) and empty packaging for fertilizers (EVPF) must be rinsed, drained, emptied, and clean, and placed in bags or bundles. All instructions can be found in the brochure.
