CIRAD is recruiting an «Analyst of Stakeholder Dynamics in Public Policies Related to the Agriculture-Food Nexus» as a volunteer. Their mission? «To support research in the areas of biodiversity, quality, and the environment,» according to CIRAD. The position is available starting on the 1ster September 2026, for a period of 12 months.
Specifically, the new analyst will be tasked with «contributing to the analysis of stakeholder dynamics with a view to developing a long-term outlook for Martinique’s food system through 2040,» as part of the Sustainable Territories project, which will focus on two main areas: «helping to understand stakeholder dynamics within the food system» and «contributing to the coordination of the expert pool tasked with providing the working group members with information on critical issues.».
The new hire will be working in a tropical climate, so prior experience in such an environment would be appreciated. In addition, a Class B driver's license is required to facilitate travel.
What kind of candidate are you looking for?
The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in political science, political sociology, or institutional economics. Recruiters also require that the candidate possess expertise in both «stakeholder analysis» and «participatory research.».
Candidates must have strong writing skills, particularly in summarizing information, in both French and English; be able to work as part of a team and within a network; and be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural advisors, trainers, and institutional representatives.
