Want to play an active role in developing agroecology in Martinique? That’s the goal of this new call for projects launched by the DAAF. Participants can submit their proposals through the end of May. This is a real boost not only for project leaders but also for the region of Martinique, helping to ensure the implementation of environmentally friendly projects.

The DAAF is issuing a call for projects in support of agroecology. Titled A collective committed to agroecology, this new 2026 call for projects has just opened and «aims to support farmers who wish to evolve their practices with a view to achieving economic, environmental, and social performance, by drawing on a collective effort,» according to the DAAF.
This call for proposals offers numerous benefits, as it allows for:
- organize a group of farmers around a shared project
- receive technical support and, if applicable, funding for program coordination
- to test and promote agroecological practices adapted to the Martinique region
- to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of farms.
Which file should I choose?
The call for projects is aimed at two types of organizations: first, groups that need to be organized, and second, those that are already well-established and ready to be recognized. Before beginning the application process, it is important to understand your organization’s current status and select the appropriate application form: «GIEE Start-up» or «GIEE.»However, the organizers of the call for proposals note that submitting an application does not confer GIEE status nor does it guarantee that funding will be awarded. Similarly, the agency reviewing the application may request additional documentation. Finally, all projects «must be concrete, structured, and measurable.».
