The Territorial Collectivity of Martinique invites you on Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28, 2019, to CONFLUENCE, an event organized by the CTM. This festive gathering in the Northern Caribbean will serve as a catalyst to highlight the strengths of this region, rich in history and innovation.
This event, organized in partnership with the Martinique Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, and the Martinique Regional Nature Park—a first for the area—will help boost its appeal. Its goal is to serve as a platform for showcasing traditions and expertise in the areas of cultural heritage, gastronomy, crafts, sports, and entertainment.
The stated objectives of the CTM, in accordance with its Territorial Plan for Economic Development, Innovation, and Internationalization, are:
- Improve the quality and diversity of our region's offerings and products
- Mobilize artisans, restaurant owners, artists, athletes,
- Support the emergence and rollout of innovative, sustainable tourism and recreation products based on natural assets,
- Accompanyr and support artists and cultural practitioners in their creative process,
- Support the business economic growth by promoting cultural and heritage diversity and vitality,
- Promote the meet-and-greet with the audience
- Mobilize artisans, restaurant owners, artists, and athletes.

What's on the agenda :
- Tours of Historic Sites Northern Caribbean: Paul Gauguin Interpretation Center, Habitation Céron, Habitation Depaz, Neisson Rum Distillery, Domaine d’Emeraude
- Craft Village at the CDST : Ice cream, ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, confectionery, jam, syrup, punch, hand-painted porcelain, recycled items, ceramic art, crocheted fashion accessories, products made from cassava, calabash items, Bakoua accessories, fruits and vegetables
- Activities : The Science and Earth Discovery Center, the event’s main venue, will host artists, lectures, artisans, a fashion show, a musical performance, slam poetry, storytelling, horse-drawn carriage rides, bèlè, and virtual reality activities.
- Sports Activities : Hiking along the Jesuit Trail, water activities at the Jean Bally Pool in Le Carbet, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and sailing at the Saint-Pierre Water Sports Center…
