This new swimwear brand from Martinique was boldly launched right in the middle of the lockdown… Swim Saya: How to Turn Negatives into Positives!
Alycia, a 25-year-old globetrotter, is the creator of this new concept of eco-friendly jersey. When asked what has made the biggest impression on her during her travels around the world, she replies, ”The one thing all my trips have in common—and it breaks my heart to say it—is pollution. It’s made an impression on me in every country I’ve visited. I’ve seen horrible garbage dumps with children rummaging through them…”
The designer wanted to do her part to create a cleaner world, and she heard about a fabric made from ocean-recovered waste and recycled nylon. Living in Martinique, what could be more natural than thinking about making swimsuits? The idea was born!
