A New Position at CRESS, New Support for the Social and Solidarity Economy. The creation of a new project manager position at CRESS in Martinique represents a new opportunity to work toward a positive initiative for the Martinique region—one that bridges social, economic, and environmental issues.
As the driving force behind the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in Martinique, CRESS supports a network of organizations, associations, and institutions dedicated to serving the region’s best interests.
Since the (re)establishment of CRESS Martinique in 2022, its missions have been divided into five areas:
- promote the social and solidarity economy to public authorities,
- support social economy enterprises,
- assist with training,
- collect and transmit data related to the ESS, and,
- inform stakeholders about the European dimension of the social and solidarity economy.
To successfully carry out all these tasks, CRESS is continuing to expand by creating a new position for a project manager.
Profile
CRESS is hiring a Project Officer for Integration and Monitoring of Social and Environmental Clauses for its flagship ESSor project. The new CRESS project manager will be entrusted with several tasks, such as «pushing the boundaries of public and private procurement, incorporating social and environmental clauses that create local jobs, supporting buyers and businesses (including those in the social and solidarity economy), and leading a network of stakeholders committed to a fairer and more sustainable economy,» explains CRESS in the job description.
The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree (bac+5) in one of the following fields: law, social sciences, or environmental studies, and have a proven track record of success. The candidate must be comfortable with public procurement and hands-on fieldwork. Finally, the ideal candidate should be curious, self-reliant, and possess a strong team spirit. The position is based in Fort-de-France and is offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €2,800 to €3,000.
This new position is co-funded by the European Union, the Territorial Collectivity of Martinique, and the Prefecture of Martinique.
