Association for Fibers, Integration, and Bamboo for Development (AFIBAD)

Founded in 2008, AFIBAD has made it its mission to promote local plant resources through job-creating industries and to drive their use in various fields. The main plant species include bamboo, reseau, mahault, vines, dry wood, vetiver, and others. The intended applications are diverse: construction, agriculture, sanitation, energy, land development, interior design, decorative arts, and more.
Since 2010, AFIBAD has been running “Work Integration Workshops” to offer new career paths.
