The circular and social economy and corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSR) are two sides of the same coin. The CSR Action Network (RAR) advocates for bringing these two concepts closer together, as each of them involves environmental protection.
In metropolitan France, as well as in the overseas territories, the RAR aims to «take concrete action toward a responsible transition.» Unlike the social and solidarity economy (ESS), corporate social responsibility (CSR) applies to all companies, which thus have the opportunity to commit to the environment, the energy transition, and the ecological transition.

Within the circular economy, the RAR plays a role in guiding businesses toward best practices. «Through its initiatives, the RAR Martinique promotes corporate social responsibility (CSR) rooted in local realities, with a focus on preserving resources and securing the region’s future.»
