Hello, everyone,
The group's goal: to raise public awareness about waste issues during Carnival (reduction, recycling, reuse, composting, etc.).
So we’re calling on your energy and creativity! The idea is to bring together all alternative actors (nonprofits, collectives, social and solidarity-based enterprises, and individuals) to support the message by organizing a small, dedicated group centered on this theme and marching through the streets of Fort-de-France on Monday, February 12, 2018 (Mardi Gras—greater visibility on that day).
A variety of costumes made from reclaimed materials, recyclable waste, costumes made from your own monthly waste, costumes made from compostable waste, and more—anything is possible!
We invite everyone who wants to participate in this project to join us on Monday, January 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for a brainstorming session. Location: 36 Av. Condorcet, Clairière, Fort-de-France (directions at the end of this email).
If there are enough of us, we can meet at the same place every Monday afternoon to make the costumes, specifically:

You can also help by donating recycled materials (torn clothing, fabric scraps, elastic bands, etc.).

Itinerary
From the “Vietnam Héroïque” roundabout, head toward Clairière, pass by the Saint Paul Clinic and the MRI center, follow the road until you reach the traffic light, then turn right. At the next intersection, turn right—it’s the building on the corner. It’s 36 Avenue Condorcet. Park wherever you can.
The entrance is through a white door on the Rue des Oliviers side, at the top of the short flight of stairs. Walk through the room, go up one floor, go to the end of the hallway on the right—it’s right there!
