ADEME has just released its report on the funding of numerous projects throughout France since 2021. In mainland France and the overseas territories, this support from ADEME translates into strong backing for local communities and all the organizations that keep them thriving. Manufacturing, public administration, tourism: a wide range of sectors are receiving support to address environmental and sustainable development challenges.

In a recent publication, ADEME presents all the projects supported in France. «This dataset includes all funding applications approved by ADEME since 2021, regardless of amount, for both grants and repayable loans,» ADEME officials state on their website.
Nationwide, ADEME supports numerous activities across a wide range of sectors and has been reporting its results since 2021. At the top of the list of supported sectors is industry, in first place with 3.069 billion euros, followed by the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, with 2.255 billion euros. To a lesser extent, ADEME also supports public administrations, specialized and technical activities, and the production and distribution of water, as well as sanitation, waste management, and pollution control.
ADEME Martinique
With a team of 15 people, ADEME Martinique reports that it has supported 98 projects totaling 7.9 million euros. «Our department promotes the creation of networks and the coordination of local outreach efforts, always adapting to the specific socioeconomic and environmental contexts of our island,» they state on their website.
A significant portion of the projects supported since 2021 are located in Fort-de-France or its immediate vicinity, but ADEME makes it a point of honor to support projects throughout the entire territory of Martinique. For example, in the northern part of the island, the social and solidarity grocery store Solipeyi has received support from ADEME, as have the Refuge du Bon Repos and the Dillon Distillery.
The projects span a wide range of industries. L’Herboristerie Créole is part of the manufacturing sector, and ADEME’s support was aimed at «establishing an industrial facility for processing local aromatic and medicinal plants in Saint-Joseph.».
