ESS France and the CRESS are launching the 2026 ESS Award, 11e This edition is designed to highlight the businesses, associations, and all other organizations that are part of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) sector. This is an opportunity to showcase the vibrancy of the social and solidarity economy, to raise the sector’s profile in the lead-up to Social and Solidarity Economy Month, and to recognize organizations that stand out for their exceptional commitment.

«Are you an association, a cooperative, a mutual insurance company, a foundation, or a social economy business with two or more years of operation?» ask the organizers. «Now is the time to apply!».
The ESS Award aims to recognize actors in the social and solidarity economy who are committed, on a daily basis, to serving others and protecting the environment. Collectively, these organizations are committed to the ecological transition, the fight against inequality, improved access to health care, sustainable food systems, employment, and culture and sports as means of social integration.
Highlighting the Social and Solidarity Economy
The goal of the 2026 ESS Awards is to recognize committed organizations and highlight their work. «The ESS Awards, organized by ESS France and the CRESS, are designed to highlight these inspiring initiatives and give them the visibility they deserve,» the organizers emphasize. It is a way to give a voice to the entire sector, which is active in both metropolitan France and the overseas territories.
To participate, the organization must be officially recognized as a social and solidarity economy (SSE) organization. Applications will be accepted from May 4 to June 26, 2026. A second phase will take place from July 13 to August 28 for organizations that have been shortlisted.
