The Acise Insertion Environnement (AIE) association works every day to restore objects, furniture, and products that were originally destined for destruction or incineration. For those who are unable to come in person, the association is launching a pickup service. Everything is organized to minimize unnecessary waste as much as possible.

The Acise Insertion Environnement association is a Martinique-based organization dedicated to reducing the volume of waste produced in the region. Our teams can schedule a free pickup at your home anywhere in Martinique.» Once collected, these items are often in good enough condition to be reused, thereby supporting local supply chains and the local economy to help those most in need.

The organization is rich in talent, and once items are collected, their efforts give these products new life. Behind the organization’s storefront, a dozen different professions are at work: seamstresses and upcycling specialists, textile sorters, sales associates at the charity thrift store, collection drivers, warehouse workers, wood recycling specialists, appliance repair technicians, administrative assistants, trainers, call center agents, technicians, and recycling specialists.
The numbers speak for themselves: Acise Insertion Environnement employs 180 people from Martinique, operates 230 collection points throughout Martinique, and will recycle nearly 1,230 metric tons of textiles and shoes by 2025.
