We alerted you some time ago about the campaign by the NGO CIWF against intensive cage farming. 1.6 million people in 26 European countries have signed the petition calling for an end to this type of animal cruelty. This is a major step toward new practices in agriculture.
“On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, the partner organizations of the European Citizens” Initiative to ban cage farming in Europe gathered in front of the European Commission to mark the end of the signature-collection period. With more than 1,600,000 signatures collected in 26 European countries, opponents of cage farming had every reason to be proud of the mobilization effort.”
