The 3rd edition of ALTERNAVAL!
“ALTERNAVAL is a gathering of the island’s alternative community. Since 2018, collectives, organizations, and individuals have been coming together to create and share a carnival that reflects who they are… while respecting all living things!
In 2018: The Marriage of Nature and Humans, a magnificent burlesque couple followed by a barren mountain overflowing with trash…
In 2019: Our mascot, WAFI the turtle—surrounded and protected by the guardians of the Land and the Sea—gave us quite a hard time in the back alleys of FDF…
In 2020…? Everything is up to us to imagine, decide, create, build, and develop… as a group, while maintaining enough autonomy so as not to “overload” everyone’s schedules.
The goal: to experiment with collective creation, in a spirit of kindness and joy, against a backdrop of environmental causes… Have a great carnival!
As always, the final result will depend on everyone’s energy… so let’s get started! See you this Friday, January 10, at 4 p.m. in Cluny for the first planning meeting! Come out in droves to suggest themes, scenarios, costumes, material contributions, energy, good vibes… and so on!
