Secondhand? A boon for textiles—and your wallet. Pants, T-shirts, shirts: even if they’re not brand-new, they still hold value. In a textile industry dominated by the criteria of « fast fashion », reusing secondhand clothing is a way to save money and avoid creating unnecessary waste. That is the whole point of this new call for projects launched by Refashion.
Call for Proposals
Launched by Refashion, the Seconde main 2026 project aims to «[…] accelerate the reuse of apparel, home textiles, and footwear» by supporting «players in the secondhand textile and footwear sector who wish to develop or structure their businesses using post-consumer textile, home textile, and footwear (TLC) materials collected in France.».
According to an announcement, this new call for proposals has multiple objectives:
- Fund concrete initiatives to support the reuse of TLCs in France
- Optimizing and Streamlining Secondhand Channels
- Increase sales volume by leveraging the appeal of the pre-owned product lineup
- Encourage scaling up and cooperation among stakeholders
Support for Reuse Projects
Selected proposals may receive financial support in the form of a grant. The organizers of this call for proposals have established three funding tiers:
- Seed funding: €20,000 to €50,000
- Development: up to €200,000
- Industrialization: up to 1,000,000€
To increase their chances of securing financial support, the organizers are offering a webinar on May 12, 2026, for applicant organizations. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the webinar.
