Madininair has just been accredited by COFRAC (the French Accreditation Committee) in accordance with the NF EN ISO 17025:2017 standard for its calibration activities in the field of «reference materials / chemistry.»
This accreditation applies to the interregional calibration laboratory, which since 2009 has been working to ensure the traceability of air pollutant measurements in the regions of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana by linking the instruments at air quality monitoring stations in the three territories to national reference standards.
This accreditation represents significant recognition of Madininair’s technical and organizational capabilities in the calibration of gaseous pollutants: sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NO₂/NO), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O₃). It also provides assurance regarding the quality of measurement results from fixed air quality monitoring stations in the French West Indies and French Guiana.
The COFRAC ISO 17025 accreditation thus complements the ISO 9001 certification that Madininair has held since 2012. With these two certifications, the observatory reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrates the high-quality work its team has carried out for the past 20 years in monitoring air quality in Martinique.
