The Territorial Collectivity of Martinique (CTM) is organizing an informational meeting on the Territorial Contract for Transition and Agroecological Commitment (CTEA) and on EAFRD programs.
The informational meeting will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at the Gros-Morne village farmers« market, located across from the church. »An informational session to better understand the opportunities available to project leaders and professionals in the agricultural sector,« according to the event organizers, who note that these are »programs designed to support agriculture in Martinique.”.
Agriculture and Financing: Working for the Region
The central topic of this informational meeting is funding—specifically, European Union funding provided by the CTM. «This meeting will provide an opportunity to learn about the support mechanisms available to assist agricultural projects, promote the agroecological transition, and contribute to the development of agriculture in Martinique.»
The EAFRD is a fund that forms part of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and aims to promote the modernization, transition, and resilience of agriculture. Currently, this refers to the 2023–2027 plan, implemented by the CTM through its strategic document titled «Agriculture and Food Self-Sufficiency through the Enhancement of Agroecological Potential,» dated November 2022. The two pillars of this strategy are food self-sufficiency and agroecology, supported by a budget of 85.973 million euros.
