The Carbet des Sciences underwater walks offer a chance to discover the richness of marine biodiversity from the open water. Three dates are scheduled throughout July; registration is open—don’t wait any longer to book your underwater tour!

As we reported last April[1], the Carbet des Sciences is launching a new campaign of underwater walks:
- Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in Fond Boucher (Case-Pilote / Bellefontaine)
- Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Grande Anse (Les Anses d’Arlet)
- Thursday, August 27, 2026, in Grande Anse (Les Anses d’Arlet)
Combine business with pleasure
These new underwater walks will provide the general public with another opportunity to discover Martinique’s biodiversity from the shoreline. It’s quite rare to be able to enjoy an underwater walk, but thanks to the Carbet des Sciences organization, participants will be able to encounter many animal and plant species that are emblematic of the island. It’s a way to combine business with pleasure: a workout and a chance to learn about the treasures of Martinique’s biodiversity.
«Join one of our underwater tours to explore the ocean floor with family or friends!» the organizers invite participants. There are two options available, depending on the participants’ skill level.
The organizers will give a presentation on biodiversity and provide guidance throughout the underwater tour. Equipment and a snack are included.
