Yesterday, the European Union authorized the use of the herbicide glyphosate for another five years. France, for its part, has set a goal of banning it within three years at the latest. This herbicide, commonly used in agriculture, is classified as «cprobable carcinogen» by the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
